My Favorite Mason Jar

   This saucy little project is one of  my favorites.  I have these all over my house and use them to store my kitchen utensils, toothbrushes, pencils and sea shells.  The best part is that I buy this sauce every week so I have quite the collection.

I start off with my Classico sauce jar.  As soon as I use the sauce, I soak the jar in hot water to get the label off.  A run through the dishwasher, and you're ready to go.

Pick your favorite colors and start spray painting.  As you will see, I like to layer the colors.  So, don't be afraid to play with them.

This white has a layer of gold under it.

I took sand paper to this one and roughed it up a bit.

I brushed on an antiquing glaze and then rubbed the extra off. 

Just a few ideas. 

And it all began with a jar of sauce....
