How to make your own beverage center

It all began with my Hemnes 8 drawer dresser from Ikea.

The top four drawer pulls are replaced with ones I picked up at Hobby Lobby.

Then to save money I distressed the bottom eight using white paint I had already.  To get the right look I added chalk to the paint to thicken it up then I globed it on not really caring if I missed some spots.  After they dried I took sand paper to them.  Here is a before and after picture.

Then there is the coffee mug and tea holder cubbies.  I had acquired these for free a while ago and knew they would come in handy one day.  They are cd holders from Ikea's "Forhoja" collection.  I have checked and I don't think they are available anymore.  They were in unfinished wood so I spray painted them and sanded them down to give the aged look.  There are a few ways to recreate this.  Shoe organizers and media cabinets work best then finish how ever you want.  Here is one I found on Targets website.

My teas are now organized using my vintage mason jars that I have collected any my coffee discs are stored in the single drawer in the middle.

Perfect fit!  Now I need to get more stem less wine glasses to fill it up.  The empty one is currently being used, sorry not sorry.

The mirror I've had for a while and will most likely be refinishing at some point but for right now works as a message board.  I found a cute option while I was looking up the drawer pulls at Hobby Lobby (don't forget to use the mobile coupon too)

The wood shelf is some left over cedar from my garage that I stained in a walnut color.  This gave me the space to store my glass mugs and vintage scale.

And there you have it.  Enjoy!!
